A pan-Ayrshire conference: ‘Gender Based Violence in the Modern World’ brought to you by Community Justice Ayrshire with support from the Violence Against Women Partnerships in East, North and South Ayrshire and NHS Ayrshire and Arran.

The event will explore various forms of gender-based violence across the life course, and will welcome some esteemed speakers from across the UK to Ayrshire to share some of their knowledge.

Keynote speakers include Dr Marsha Scott, Scottish Women’s Aid Chief Executive; Jasvinder Sanghera CBE, a survivor of Forced Marriage, founder of Karma Nirvana and recipient of the Robert Burns Humanitarian Award 2019; Fiona Drouet from #Emilytest and Detective Superintendent Gordon McCreadie, Police Scotland, National Lead for Domestic Abuse, Forced Marriage, Honour Based Abuse and Stalking & Harassment.

There will be a selection of workshops available on the day for delegates to attend and a Dynamic Marketplace which will provide an opportunity for a wide selection of services and organisations across Ayrshire to share information.
