Event Details

This half day course is designed to provide participants with the information and practical skills required to administer Naloxone in the case of an opiate overdose. This course will be beneficial for those working with people at risk of opiate overdose and their families. Learning outcomes:

Participants can expect to:
• be aware of an opiate overdose – including causes, signs and symptoms, risks, and how to prevent fatal overdose;
• be knowledgeable in providing emergency first aid; and
• have an understanding of Naloxone and when and how to administer Naloxone.
