1 in 10 people in Scotland often feel lonely, and research shows that loneliness and social isolation are harmful to our health. Factors such as social connections, kindness alongside transport and access to services can all have an influencing role.
The Scottish Government’s vision is a society where ‘everyone has the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships, regardless of age, status, circumstance, or identity’. Working across boundaries to colloborate and create connections will ensure that no one in Scotland feels socially isolated or lonely.
This workshop will bring together stakeholders from across the West of Scotland to share and learn from each other’s innovating practice. (Lunch will be provided).
